Every day I do a little cooking, loving, playing, praising, crafting, praying, and learning as I "Rain" it all in.

My Finished project from Tuesday!

I finally got motivated and had a little time to finish my magnet project yesterday. I found out that the part that takes the longest is cutting out the pictures. I made about 3 dozen or so magnets in less than an hour combined. Here's what it looked like:
I already had lots of magazines and found the rest of what I needed at Hobby Lobby

Backs of the beads before I added the magnets

Be sure to only put hot glue on two or three at a time and then place magnets so your glue doesn't harden

Finished product...I ran out of magnets for the beads and it's so simple, I think I will make more!

Crafty Tuesday--Magnets

I haven't finished this craft yet, but I've started. This is an idea from Family Fun and it looks so cute and doesn't take much to make. You could do this with not only letters, but pictures or even shrunken photos, which I plan to try along with cool patterns and pictures cut from magazines. It would make a great gift idea with limitless possibilities....a family's name spelled out, favorite things, different themes, holidays, and on and on. I will post a pic of my own when I finish, but until then, craft on!

Yummy Monday

This week I've planned to have some "cook once and eat twice" meals and a little something sweet.

Monday- Beans in the crockpot, green beans, cornbread casserole, fried potatoes--Cornbread Casserole is a staple for me...cornbread mix prepared, cooked ground hamburger, corn, cheese, and rotel if you want a little kick...then bake according to mix temp until set.
Tuesday- Roast in the crockpot with potatoes and carrots-- I like to use Lipton Onion mix to season it
Wednesday- BBQ sandwiches (made with leftover roast)
Thursday & Friday- Leftovers or Chicken Lasagna from the freezer
Nothing like some beans in the crockpot

I love The Pioneer Woman and her cookbook is fabulous!! I've tried several recipes and today, decided to try the mocha brownies and OH MY GOODNESS!!! These are cake-like brownies and they are super yummy...the frosting is a MUST!

Pioneer Woman's Mocha Brownies...YUMMMMM...MUST have MILK!

Since we plan to go camping again, I won't have a post for next week, but I plan to post some camping food pics and ideas, so stay tuned!!
