Every day I do a little cooking, loving, playing, praising, crafting, praying, and learning as I "Rain" it all in.

What to do with Those Tiny Proof Sheets

So, if you are not totally obsessive compulsive about photo organization and use them to index, what do you do with those little tiny proof photos that come when you get prints???

I received a beautiful locket for Christmas from my grandma and I was trying to figure out how to get some photos that would fit in it...four of them, at that. Then I realized that I had these little proof sheets that always just sit around and collect dust or get thrown away when I order prints, so I thought I'd give it a shot.

And, it they worked perfectly!! As with any items like this, you have to use the piece of paper in the frame or the plastic or glass cover to trace around the photo to cut it the right size and pop them in. This only took me about 5 minutes to do.

This got me thinking about some other ways to use these little tiny treasures that I hadn't thought of before.....use them in ornaments, decopage boxes or other small things with them, use them to make magnets (I have to try this with photos still and I had just realized I could use these little ones like this with the magnet project I posted earlier!!), use them on a family calendar to identify each person's activities, use them to decorate ID tags for backpacks/bags, and there are probably a ton more ideas out there! The point is, we no longer have to let these little beauties go to waste, we can find a purpose for them and have fun doing it!!

Merry (belated) Christmas!!

Hope you had a very Merry Christmas celebrating the birth of our Savior! We have had three celebrations so far with one more to go. I always love getting together with family and friends, and, of course, all the yummy goodies we all share together....back to my love of food again. As the year ends, I am trying to get my house organized again and prepare for our last gathering, which will be at my home. Since I haven't had much time to do any extra craft projects other than cooking, I thought I'd share some recipe links for some of my favorites that I plan to prepare the first week of 2012!

Four Cheese Lasagna---YUMMMMMY and easy!! The best homemade version I've tried and budget friendly!

Chicken Stroganoff-
A fresh twist on a classic and a kid approved one too!

Spicy Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork--I LOVE this Pioneer Woman recipe! I don't like really spicy food so I don't use all the peppers to keep it mild.

Don't forget to have some black eyed peas for New Year's!!
